Model 14 MHz (AM 16 Hz) exoposure to rats and analysis of bone loss (osteoporosis model)

Wistar rats (n = 100; ovarectimized to mimic a model of osteoporosis) were exposed to 14 MHz (AM 16 Hz) 2 hrs/day for 60 days in the hind leg and evaluated for bone density, bone marrow calcium and phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase activity, and general histology. The authors report exposure resulted in increased osteogenesis (improvement of osteoporosis) with no evidence of any DNA damage (via comet assay)
