Model Risk perception from mobile phones in adolescent school children in France

High School adolescents (n = 1129) were surveyed to determine perceptions of risk associated with the use of mobile phones including a) while driving, b) human exposure, and c) social risks related to impoliteness and incivility. The study revealed adolescents did rate the risk while driving moderately high, and to a slightly lesser extent the social risk, they were much less concerned regarding the health risks due to RF exposure. Interestingly, 84.6% of students owned a phone. The authors conclude it is important to inform children and parents of potential RF health risks anyway.
