Model 900, 1800 MHz (GSM) exposure to humans and analysis of EEG and visually evoked potentials

Human subjects (n=39) were exposed to 902.4 MHz (GSM) at 2 watts peak or 1800 MHz (GSM) at 1 watt peak over the right ear (corresponding to full power). Averaged EEG recordings from the entire group during exposure did not reveal any effect of RF on resting EEG recordings or on visually evoked (alpha / 8-12 Hz) EEG recordings. Individual recordings showed that one 900 MHz (GSM) and two 1800 MHz (GSM) exposed subjects showed increased EEG activity while one 1800 MHz (GSM) subject showed decreased EEG activity during RF exposure. This was interpreted by the investigators as random variation.
